I was trying to loosen up when I first began work on this piece...But, loosening up did not occur.

I am pleased with this small or mini drawing. I like the warm colors here. I don't usually use a warm palette when creating my artwork..Perhaps this piece will be the beginning of something new... :=)
This drawing of a nude woman is part of my ongoing series of "Zen Nudes" in which the viewer sees the rear view of a seated woman (often with a large derriere)who is in a meditative position.
If the truth be known, I heartily dislike doing realistic renditions of most subjects.
Here she is. I think I shall call her "Sara."

Yes, it is another rear view of a young and shapely woman. However, she is not a redhead, although she has a considerable amount of strands of red hair, amidst her jet black hair. Her ponytail falls in waves below her waist. And she is surrounded by red color. I created the red background through the use of many hundreds or thousands of lines. (I wasn't counting)

Yes, here is another drawing of the rear view of a female nude. She has beautiful multicolored hair that falls below her waist. And, speaking of waistlines, hers is tiny!
I do like to create stylized drawings and paintings of nudes, although, within the past year, I have not created a single painting of one! This situation will need to change....My drawing table needs to have a new sheet of paper lying on its surface, along with water and my tubes of gouache and watercolor paint and brushes!
How odd that I am feeling so chatty.
This particular drawing measures approximately 7.5 x 3.5 inches, and I created it using gel, micron and india ink pens on paper.

I created her body using the cross-hatching technique. And the green background was created through the use of a great many green lines.
