The very warm red background juxtaposed against the warm brown skin tones creates a lusciousness of color, in my opinion.
This painting is 7" x 6" and I created it using gouache (opaque watercolor) on 300 lb. paper.
I truly love working on heavy paper such as this paper, which I believe is Saunders paper.
